RAPID CITY S.D. (KOTA TV) - Minecraft summer camp, hosted by the School of Mines, teaches it's campers how to develop, design and share their very own Minecraft mods. The learn. Create. Build. Academy designed the camp so that children could learn computer skills through Minecraft to make it a more fun environment.

“Technology’s not going anywhere anytime soon, so the sooner you can take them from just using or consuming technology and actually messing with it, changing it, building on it, if we can get them at an earlier age then they're going to be more curious, more interested in it as they grow up,” said Learn Create Build Academy co-founder, Shane Thomas.

The Minecraft summer camp will run through Thursday
