Man pleads guilty for a second time

Emily Bluebird was killed in Pine Ridge in January 2016.

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) - After his original guilty plea was thrown out, Fred Quiver has now pleaded guilty to accessory to second degree murder in the death of Emily Bluebird for a second time.

Originally, Quiver and Elizabeth LeBeau each claimed the other murdered Bluebird in Pine Ridge two years ago.

In an amended statement, Quiver said it was LeBeau who murdered Bluebird. Quiver admitted to helping cover up the crime and twice burying the body.

Quiver faces a maximum sentence of 15 years. LeBeau pleaded guilty to second degree murder in October.
