Granite bench memorial to be dedicated to 4th Airborne Command Control Squadron

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) - The 4th Airborne Command Control Squadron Memorial Dedication will take place on Saturday, June 24th at 10:00 a.m. at the SD Air & Space Museum (2890 Davis Drive, Ellsworth AFB, SD).

The placing of this granite bench will be on the museum grounds, at the same location where the EC-135 A Model aircraft, Tail #10262 sits. This aircraft was once flown by crew members of the 4th Airborne Command Control Squadron.

A reunion honoring the 25th Anniversary of the 4ACCS Deactivation is June 22 – 25, 2017 with events at the Rushmore Plaza Holiday Inn, Rapid City and the area.

June 22 at the Mount Rushmore Lighting Ceremony; June 23 bus tour to Minuteman Missile National Historic Site, Delta-09 Launcher (Cactus Flat), Wall Drug, Ellsworth AFB and the SD Air & Space Museum; June 24 Memorial Dedication at SD Air & Space Museum.

The banquet, with a program will be held Saturday evening, June 24, at the Rushmore Plaza Holiday Inn beginning at 6pm and program at 8pm.
