Creating future artists

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) - A new type of art camp at the DAHL Art Center was introduced this Christmas break.

The camp takes in Kindergarten through 5th grade students that are not able to participate in art. The camps usually happen on school holidays. ARTsCOOL is a different idea that incorporates yoga into the camp.

“And the whole idea of this is complete experimentation. So, there is not a lot of structure. It's more about the process than the product. So, then kids get to like just have this free experimentation,” said Sean Kittrell Simon, Rapid City Arts Council Art Education Director.

Next art camp will be during Spring Break.
