RAPID CITY S.D. (KOTA-TV) - The Black Hills Celtic Society used this Saint Patrick’s Day weekend to celebrate the traditions of the Irish.
They put on a dinner last night full of food and drinks, while many of the people showed off their kilts.
Not to mention, they had the band Slip Jig playing authentic Celtic music by local musicians Mike LaMay and friends.
Also, if you were willing to pay $5, you could receive 6 raffle tickets to win a handful of prizes.
Black Hills Celtic Society webmaster Gary Hamilton talked about the events of the night, “every year we like to celebrate St. Patrick's Day as a Celtic organization and what's important to us is more of the culture. Tonight will have roast beef and a cold can of potatoes and that sort of thing. Later on we will allow people get up and tell stories and if people here tonight brought their own musical instruments they can get up and play."
All the money will go the treasurer of the organization to help fund future events like the Saint Patrick’s Day parade.
