Bake Works in first year at Summer Nights

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) If you're looking for a snack while attending Summer Nights, the Bake Works tent is a good choice.

This year is the first year that Bake Works has been downtown for the festivities.

Because it's busier during the summer, Bake Works closes earlier – at 2:00pm on Monday, Thursday, and Friday – to catch up on orders.

With all the foot traffic on Thursday nights, Bake Works manager Corey McKenna says it has helped raise awareness for the bakery.

"When we started we were under at beer tent, so that kind of confused everybody,” said McKenna. “But now we got the Bake Works tent and it's gotten better and better all the time. I'm just happy to see the community that comes, witness a little piece of what Bake Works is all about."

Like many vendors at Summer Nights, Bake Works does raise prices by a couple dollars.
