Armed robbery suspect admits to crimes

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) - A Rapid City man admits to robbing a grocery store and convenience store last summer.

Robert Donovan, 31, pleaded guilty to robbing Don's Valley Express on Haines Avenue and the Fresh Start convenience store.

Donovan says he was armed with a simulated weapon and stole money from both places.

Donovan faces up to 50 years in prison and/or a $100,000 fine.

He's set to be sentenced on March 27.
