On Saturday, January 20, the 13th annual History Conference will be held in Hot Springs. The lineup of eight speakers this year includes talks about the CCC work in Wind Cave National Park, Calamity Jane, the Horse Sanctuary, and the first sheriff of Fall River County. As always, your ticket price includes a hot` lunch and snacks. This is the biggest fund raiser of the year for the Pioneer Museum in Hot Springs – a jewel of Southern Hills history. The conference starts at 9 a.m. at the Mueller Center in Hot Springs. Registration can be by stopping by the Mueller Center or sending a check to the Pioneer Museum at Box 361 in Hot Springs. The cost is $30 if pre-registered or $40 on the 20th.
