This week, 28 women from all over the country came to Rapid City and Monday, they got a taste of the Black Hills.
Contestants in the Miss Wheelchair America Pageant 2010 spent time with friends and family, and take in the beauty of South Dakota.
"South Dakota is a beautiful state," Alyson Roth, Miss Wheelchair California 2009, said. "I've never been here before this is my first time and the Black Hills, Mount Rushmore, everything, the people, are just amazing. Amazing feeling of community and it's a fantastic feeling to be here."The Miss Wheelchair America Pageant takes place this week, right here in Rapid City.
