An autopsy Sunday reveals a Chadron State College student died after being stabbed more than 50 times.
Formal charges, including first degree murder, are expected to be filed tomorrow against the student's roommate.
Chadron Police were investigating reports of a man with a knife trying to break into homes on Friday night. After a short chase, they arrested 25-year-old Joseph Hotz of Rushville, Nebraska at gunpoint.
The investigation led police back to Hotz' apartment, where they found the body of 22-year-old Kenneth Pfeiffer of Florida.
Both men were students at Chadron State College, but lived off-campus.
Hotz is being held on two million dollars bond.
