When the Senate goes back into session Monday, senators will go right back to talking about the healthcare reform bill.  Then, it will be open to amendment.

And, U.S. Sen. John Thune is using his Thanksgiving break to speak with business owners in Rapid City.

At the Higher Education Center, Thune says they will be impacted the most by the healthcare bill.  Because it may put new taxes on business owners at the time when Obama needs them to create jobs.  He adds that the Senate's healthcare bill raises premiums, and cuts medicare and medicaid.  Something other state senators say will hurt all South Dakotans the most.

"It will cause many physicians to not take these patients.  In addition, it will reduce the availability of healthcare plans," said Sen. Stan Adelstein, (R) District 32.

Even though the democrats have the votes to pass the healthcare bill, Thune says he hopes republicans can attract some liberals to help them defeat it.
