Billionaire investor Warren Buffett's company, Berkshire Hathaway agrees to buy the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for 34 billion dollars.
The railroad is the second largest in the country and the biggest hauler of food products and coal.
Buffett already owns 22 percent of Burlington Northern, but is offering a hundred dollars a share in cash for the rest of the company.
Buffett said he's putting a huge bet on the company and the railroad industry.
If the purchase is approved, it would be the biggest acquisition ever by Berkshire Hathaway.
