For many people in KOTA Territory, waking up this morning to snow wasn't the normal way to start the workweek in early Fall. Snowfall began Sunday night in some cities and continued through Monday, dropping almost a foot of snow in some parts and a light covering in others. Here are some of the estimated snowfall amounts as of Monday morning from the National Weather Service:
Hill City-8", Mt. Rushmore-7", Cheyenne Crossing and Custer-6", O'Neil Pass, Lead,and Gillette,WY-5", Colony and Sundance,WY-4", and Deadwood-3".
