SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) _ The U.S. Justice Department's Office on Violence Against Women is awarding more than $787,000 in economic stimulus funds to the Rosebud Sioux Tribe.
In a release, the department says the tribe will use the money to renovate the White Buffalo Calf Woman Society shelter and for an educational campaign to address domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking.
The department says the money is in addition to more than $544,000 awarded two South Dakota tribal coalitions last month.
