Antelope licenses adjusted in 2 SD counties

Posted:
PIERRE, S.D. (AP) _ State wildlife managers have decided to trim the number of antelope hunting licenses for Perkins and Harding counties in northwest South Dakota.
The Game, Fish and Parks Department says the antelope population is down substantially because of winter storms and poor reproduction this summer. It will eliminate all unsold hunting
licenses that are left after the first two license drawings in Perkins and Harding counties.
The department says antelope numbers overall are down about 20% in the northwest, and as much as 50% in those two counties.
