It's something we've all been 'screaming' for, for generations.
And this month, we all get to scream for ice cream for a reason: it's National Ice Cream month. But, before you go overboard with scoops and toppings, here are some facts you should know. One cup of plain vanilla ice cream is 273 calories. If you want to work off that delicious scoop and then some, you'll have to take a 45-minute bike ride.
Here's what a few ice cream lovers said when we told them the stats.
"I will keep that in mind, I will start doing a little more walking and a little more biking," said Jeanne Miller of Rapid City.
"I'm going to continue to eat ice cream," said Jim Lintz from Hermosa. "I've never worried about the calories, it probably shows, but the statistics don't bother me."
The average person eats 21 quarts of ice cream of ice cream annually, according to Fitness Magazine.
